DSSSB Recruitment 2026 Notification Released Apply Online For 1260 Vacancies Of Junior Engineer, MTS Posts

Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) has released an official notification for DSSSB Combined Examinations 2026 through Advertisement No. 06/2026 dated 6 November 2026. Under the DSSSB Recruitment 2026, DSSSB will recruit 1,260 candidates for various posts of Junior Engineer (Electric/Electrical), Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS), MTS General Duty and MTS Aaya (Female) in various Delhi Government Departments/Organizations.

Educational Qualification
It varies from post to post and department to department.
1.Junior Engineer (Electric/Electrical)
Candidates should possess the following educational qualifications for the post of Junior Engineer (Electric/Electrical)

A degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institute or a diploma in Electrical Engineering along with 2 years of relevant professional experience wherever applicable.

Certain departments will ask for specific eligibility criteria and educational qualification. Kindly refer to the eligibility criteria for each department given in the official notification.

2.Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS)
Generally candidates should have passed 10th class / Matriculation or equivalent examination from recognized board/ institution.

For certain departments, ITI qualification may be considered for the post of Multi Tasking Staff. Refer advertisement.

Note- Please note that educational qualification may vary from department to department. Kindly refer detailed notification.

Age Limit
Varying from post to post and department to department.
  • MTS – Generally 18 to 27 years
  • Junior Engineer – Generally 18 to 27 years or 18 to 32 years depending upon the department.
Age and educational eligibility will be calculated as on 11 th December 2026. Age relaxation will be applicable as per government rules and detailed advertisement.

Application Fee

The application fee is Rs 100.
However, below mentioned candidates are exempted from any application fee.

The fee should be paid through the mentioned SBI e-payment gateway. Application fee is not refundable once paid (as mentioned in notification).

Selection Process

Computer Based Examinations will be held to select the candidates.
For Junior Engineer (Code-809/26)
  • Two Tier Technical Examination:
  • Tier-I: For screening.
  • Tier-II: Final merit.
For MTS (Code-810/26)
  • Single Tier General Examination:
  • Final merit will be decided based on the exam.
Depending on the requirement, Skill Test / Endurance Test / Driving Test / Trade Test may be conducted.

DSSSB Exam Pattern 2026

Junior Engineer
  • Tier-I: Total Questions: 200, Total Marks: 200, Time Duration: 2 Hours.
  • Tier-II: Total Questions: 150, Total Marks: 200, Time Duration: 2 Hours 30 Minutes.
Tier-I consists of General Awareness, General Intelligence & Reasoning Ability, Arithmetical & Numerical Ability, Hindi Language & Comprehension and English Language & Comprehension along with the mentioned technical subject section.
Tier-II consists of questions from the qualifying technical subject.

MTS Examination

  • Type Of Exam: Single Tier General Examination.
  • Total Questions: 200.
  • Total Marks: 200.
  • Time Duration: 2 Hours.
  • Type Of Questions: Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions.
MTS consists of
  • General Awareness.
  • General Intelligence & Reasoning Ability.
  • Arithmetical & Numerical Ability.
  • Hindi Language & Comprehension.
  • English Language & Comprehension.
Negative Marking: 0.25 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer of 1 mark questions. Whereas, for wrong answers of 2 mark questions 0.50 marks will be deducted.
