BEL Recruitment 2026 - Apply Online for 350 Probationary Engineer Posts
Bharat Electronics Limited has issued an official recruitment notification for recruiting Probationary Engineers in the discipline of Electronics and Mechanical streams. Through this recruitment drive, BEL wants to fill up a total of 350 vacancies for the posts of E-II Grade.
This is a great opportunity for engineering graduates to build a career in one of the prestigious organizations of the Government of India under the Ministry of Defence.
Eligible and interested candidates can apply online through the official BEL recruitment website. The online registration has begun from 28th October 2026 and the last date to apply is 18th November 2026.

Educational Qualification
Candidates should have Four year B.E./B.Tech./B.Sc. Engineering Degree with discipline mentioned below from AICTE approved colleges.

General/OBC (NCL) - Minimum Qualification is First Class.

Note: Any other equivalent discipline and dual specializations will not be considered.

Additional relaxation will be provided to eligible PwBD candidates belonging to reserved categories as mentioned in the notification.
Pay Scale & Salary
The selected candidates shall be placed under E-II Grade at the following scale of pay:
₹40,000-₹1,40,000
Basic pay scale along with 3% Increment
Approximate cost to company (CTC) will be ₹13 Lakh per annum.
The selected candidates will receive the following apart from basic pay:
- Dearness Allowance (DA)
- House Rent Allowance (HRA)
- Conveyance Allowance
- Performance Related Pay
- Medical Reimbursement
- Other permissible benefits and perquisites

Application Fee – ₹1000 + 18% GST. It is non-refundable.
Note: There are conflicting statements in the notifications. EWS candidates will have to pay a fee of ₹1180 according to the main fee section and FAQ. However, EWS is also mentioned under the list of exempted candidates under Application Fee section. Please check the official application portal for the exact fee amount.

Candidates will be shortlisted in the ratio of 1:5 on the basis of their performance in CBT for interviews (category-wise and subject-wise).
Minimum qualifying percentage:
- General/OBC/EWS: 35%
- SC/ST/PwBD: 30%
Candidates need to qualify the CBT and Interview by securing minimum qualifying percentages.

Exam Pattern
Following are the details of the examination:
- Computer Based Test
- 125 questions
- 125 marks
- Time Limit: 120 Minutes
- 1 Mark is awarded for every correct answer.
- 1/4 Mark is deducted for every incorrect answer.
- Language: English and Hindi
- Date of Exam: 22 Dec 2026 (Approx)
Technical section will mainly consist of questions related to core engineering subjects based on your discipline. General Aptitude section will test your analytical and reasoning skills.

Candidates shortlisted will be allotted BEL unit/Office anywhere in India.

2. Select the Careers/Job Notifications tab.
3. Find the Probationary Engineer Recruitment 2026 notification.
4. Click on online application form.
5. Register by entering your personal email ID & Mobile Number.
6. Enter the OTP to verify your registered email & mobile number.
7. Login with your Registration ID & Password.
8. Fill your personal, academic & contact details.
9. Upload your recent passport size photograph & Signature.
10. Preview the application form and check the details.
11. Pay the application fee via online payment gateway.
12. Submit the application form and Download the final application receipt.
Keep a hard copy of the application form and payment receipt for future reference.
Note- The details filled cannot be edited once you have submitted the application form. So please ensure all details are correct.

Important Notes for Candidates
- Only Indians can apply for the post.
- Candidates must meet all the educational & age criteria.
- Government and PSU employees must provide an NOC during the interview process.
- Candidates will go through 6 months of orientation/training.
- Candidates selected must sign a service agreement for 2 Years.
- The fine amount for breaking the service agreement is ₹2,00,000.
- Candidates who are colour blind are not eligible for Electronics and Mechanical Probationary Engineer Posts.
- You do not need to send a physical copy of the application form to BEL.
